The World
It's wonderful how people are coming up with many different ways to save the earth without doing much. My school just opened up a program where you can recycle the caps on bottles. How simple is that? Most people just throw their caps away and it's wasted. I know I throw away at least 3 caps per day, so being able to recycle them is a great way to continue to help the environment. All schools should open a program like this because it's not like it's a big deal to put your caps in a recycling bin as opposed to the garbage bin. People should follow through in doing so, too. It's honestly so simple to do people, just put your caps in the recycle bin.

Day o' Silencio
It's really amazing how much you realize when you don't talk for a day. It's CRAZY! I never realized how little social interaction I have, nor the necessity of social interaction...
Not to mention, it wasn't really that hard not to talk, except in lunch, because I'm always not talking in class.
I also had a random poetic sounding line pop into my head.
"Even if I talked, there's no one here who would listen..."
I was awesome, though, after school. We ventured down a stream to a wonderful place. The hill was awesome there. Later, we had more people to venture down a different stream to a bank that seemed like a beach. It didn't even seem like we were in EG anymore. I just felt at peace.
I love making memories :]

I've been sick and unable to think of something to write; but I'm healthy now and still in the same predicament.
OK, got one.
People are too insecure for their own good. I'm not saying I'm not like this, it's the reason I came up with this. It's just that, people really do care what others think, no matter how much they say they don't. I think that whenever a person says, "I don't care what people think of me," it's an uncompleted thought. The ending is, "as long as I have my amazing friends by my side." Everybody needs some form of acceptance of who they are.
I mean, is anybody really outgoing if a friend isn't there with them doing the same? I'm sure there are a few very outgoing people out there, and I admire them, but it's rare to find. Why should people be so afraid of rejection? I mean, why wait? If you like someone, tell them. If you want to go out with them, go ask them if they want to do the same. People should beable to speak their mind without being beat down about it. And if you get rejected, you still have your friends. Sure, it sucks and you'll be a little sad, but you'll move on. They don't deserve you anyway if they don't even give you a chance. And what if they say yes? That's why you should go for it.

I Don't Care
I don't care what they say, Pluto IS a planet in my world. Growing up, Pluto was my favorite planet, and you know what, it still is. Screw taking it out of our Earth Science Reference Tables, it holds a special place in my heart. It's just like when I was little, this place that held concerts and shows was called the Pepsi Arena. Today, it's really called the Times Union Center, but not to me! I still call it the Pepsi Arena.
The point is that Pluto will forever be a planet in my heart.
Screw scientific opinions.

First Kisses
First kisses are very important, but not exactly a really big deal. I feel as though everybody is pressured to kiss someone before they are even in high school. iCarly demonstrates this. Freddy gets teased because he didn't have a first kiss yet, so in order to really fix that he turns to a close friend who he knows he can trust it with, and to just get it over with. It's just not fair. You don't know if the person you first kiss is going to be as close as they are when it happens and you shouldn't feel pressured into having it.
I would say just wait until you feel it's right. It doesn't even have to be the perfect moment with the perfect person. Just two people who are with the moment; that is beautiful in its own way.
My first and current boyfriend didn't kiss until 3 months of our relationship. Not because we didn't want to, no, but because we were waiting for a moment that we were both ready for it. Our friends were like, "What are ya doin' waiting?" but we didn't care.
And my advice is BE BOLD! If you are in the moment and nothing is happening, just go for it. I'm not saying it's easy to do, I'm just saying that when you do it, you will feel better.
Best wishes. :]

The World Can Be Inspiring
I've realized I only really talk about negative things the world has. There are very wonderful things that this earth contains. But no one really goes to 'vent' about good things. Actually, it's sad. Many people forget many good things in their life. Memories that kept them going are now long lost. So many precious things are stored away in a place that is not accessible, and it's because of negative things that happen to them.
There are many things that bring me down, but I can face them because of the people that stand behind me. My supportive boyfriend and my absolutely amazing friends just help me no matter what. There is also medicine for the mind when you're down. You have music that always seems to be relating to you. It's because we all go through bad experiences. Writing can soothe the soul, even if it's not writing about what you feel. I also like inspirational quotes can help. There's this one that really touched my mind and soul.
It's from a movie called Prom Queen:
"People are gonna want to bring you down, you know? Just don't let them. Because there is nothing wrong with you, okay? Nothing. You deserve to be treated with respect. One day, you will be."
I just feel as though that can pertain to anyone. It just brings on water works because it's so deep and meaningful to me.
Hope this helped.

Hiding is a Scary Thing
I'm reading this book, called Geography Club by Brent Hartinger, and it's about this gay adolenscent who thinks he's the only gay person in his school. He starts meeting other teens, though, who are gay like him. I'm at a part where they meet up and talk about how they feel. These people barely know each other and they're telling things to each other they haven't told even their best friends. People need to hide their real selves from their friends in fear they won't be accepted by them. Imagine having to hide yourself from your best friend. It would hurt, wouldn't it? People shouldn't have to go through this.
If a friend comes out to you, don't freak out. Please, even if you don't understand your friend, support them. Maybe you'll see in time that they are indeed the same person that they were before they told you who they've been hiding.
They are still who they are, and they are still your friend.

The English Language.
I understand that the English language is the most complicated, but people that do have an education can't spell certain things correct or they don't have their grammar correct. I'm sorry, but it's just sad. If I'm reading something with a lot of errors, such as those, I can barely understand it. It's not going to get you a good job and people won't think of you as an intelligent person if you write badly.
I happened to cross this video on youtube, where someone is reading a breakup letter. It is hilarious, yet really sad that people think that writing like that is okay. This is it:
Funny, right? Yet, it's really pathetic. If people keep writing like this, we will definitely fail as a society. Sure, I understand if a few write like this; but it's not just a few, it's probably more than half of our population. I don't believe that is acceptable.
I'm not saying everything in writing has to be absolutely perfect, but to have so many mistakes that it's barely understandable is not right.
Please, hear me out and learn your language!

Behind the Blog
Okay, so my first post was to give you a little idea about what my is blog. I will be talking about issues in many places, real life, and sometimes myself, including my opinions and stuff that happens in my life.
In this post, I thought you might want to get an idea of I'm about. My name is Meghan and I am 15. I'm a freshman in high school, which I enjoy most of the time. I'm into a lot of things and I'm very busy. One of my main hobbies is acting, which I had just recently got into but have been interested in my whole life. I'm into all arts, actually. I draw, take pictures, and write a lot; mainly I write poems. Words themself are pure poetry. I'm vegetarian, but I do believe in the circle of life. I have my reasons, I'm sure I'll blog about it another time. My friends are all crazy, but amazing and I love them. We hang out all the time and have a ball. I'm pretty crazy, but I can be serious at the right times. I'm also very shy at first.
That's about all that sums up me. If you want to know more just ask, or you can keep reading. I'm sure this blog will be an interesting thing to try.

Today, as in the Present. Like, Right Now.
First of all, hi. I'm Megz, and this is my Blog.
Anyway, society generally is not improving. Sure, we have made a few improvements since B.C.E ("Before Common Era"), but not exactly many. Today in society, though, we still have political, economical, and social problems. There are countries in poverty, illiterate people, and just all over too many people. In the news it seemed like it was good that the U.S. had gotten over 30,000,000 people, but what exactly is happening to our population? Plus, many Americans don't have common sense. We are experiencing inflation and almost everything we buy is from other countries! Not to mention, buying $200 jeans when there are $30 jeans available? Honestly?
Not to mention, there are many problems over in this country (U.S.), so why waste time taking away rights from citizens that love each other? There is nothing wrong with homosexuality, it IS natural. If your beliefs tell you otherwise then you can believe whatever, but these people do not deserve their marriage rights revoked. If it wasn't 'love' then why would they want to get married? There are people just getting out of their teens who get married because the female's pregnant, and that reason only. Do you really think that's 'love'?
